Perfect Euro
Before the euro, the currency Dutch is the most beautiful in the world. The new currency of 5 Euros artist and architect Stan Michiels, is worthy successor to a great tradition.
Michiels won a competition of the Flemish Ministry of Finance, to design a coin with the theme "Architecture and Netherlands." Michiels approached this project through two points of view. On the one hand, provides a tribute to the rich architectural history and Dutch on the other hand underlines the quality of contemporary Dutch architecture. These two visions are also the two sides of the coin. By tradition, the front of the coin needs to present a portrait of Queen, while the value of the currency is in reverse.
In front of the coin, Michiels presents a list of names of famous Dutch architects, according to the number of clicks that obtained on the Internet. 109 architects are in a currency. It works! Their names were placed in order to create a portrait of the queen.
In reverse, Michiels refers to the number of books published in architecture today. The different sizes of books were carefully arranged along the coin, so that the space between the tops had the shape of the map of the Netherlands. Michiels went further and added the silhouettes of birds, representing the capitals of all provinces.
The currency was launched in the past 30 days of October.

The Paradise of Chickens

I found these shelves while traveling by Béhance. The author of these projects is called Mary Yasko. Originally from Kirov, Russia, Maria does not yet have a portfolio of large size. Sky Village
